Sometimes It's Good to Put All of Your Eggs in One Basket

April 9th, 2010

Easter has recently come and gone. As is tradition in our household, we had an Easter egg hunt. However, the days of hiding colored hard boiled eggs are gone. Today, candy and coin are king. But what is one going to put such things in so that they can be part of an Easter egg hunt? The ubiquitous plastic, separable Easter egg provides the solution. Simply put the loot in one half of the plastic egg and push the other half on. Then go outside and hide them all.  How many of us have found one that was missed several months after Easter?

Well, it seems that the plastic Easter Egg was the subject of a patent back in 1978.

Who knew that such an invention would revolutionize Easter for the foreseeable future?
